Joe and Celeste Templin — Owners of Joe’s: A Barber Shop and Beloved Members of the Maricopa Community — have joined forces with Helping Others Like Me! to help make our Very First "Foster Care Christmas Event" Truly Special.
Their support means the world to us; and their involvement is already inspiring others to give, donate, and spread hope this holiday season.
Joe and Celeste have been more than community partners — they are our friends. Friends who stood by our family from the very beginning when we became kinship foster parents to our three young granddaughters. They were the first to rally the community on our behalf, and they stepped in to support us personally as well. Their generosity, leadership, and heart for the people of Maricopa are a big part of why Helping Others Like Me! exists today — and why our Christmas Event means so much.

Our Mission
Our mission is to support foster children, children in crisis and the families who care for them by providing affordable, reliable, and compassionate help when it’s needed most. We exist to lighten the financial and everyday burdens that come with giving these kids a better life, so families can focus on what truly matters — creating stability, hope, and a safe place to grow.
We are also striving to help young adults transitioning out of foster care or residential behavioral health systems who may experience housing instability or poverty or who may be at risk of human trafficking, substance abuse, or mental health challenges.
